Can I use my bus pass on the Bristol airport flyer? ›

You cannot use your bus pass on:

Airport Flyer bus service A1 for travel to or from Bristol Airport (but valid on the rest of the route)

The Bristol Airport Flyer is the dedicated airport express link that serves Bristol Bus Station, Bristol City Centre, Temple Meads Railway Station and Bristol Airport. Operating 7 days a week, 364 days a year (not operating Christmas Day), journeys run up to every 20 minutes daily.

Connect to the national rail network at Bristol Temple Meads, just 8 miles from the airport. The A1 Bristol Flyer operates a frequent service from the coach park, just a few minutes walk from the terminal, and drops right outside the railway station.

General queries. Can I use my concessionary bus pass on services to Bristol Airport? There are various services that provide transport to Bristol Airport: Services A1 (from/to Bristol) & A3 (from/to Weston-super-Mare) – Bus passes cannot be used for free travel to/from the airport.

Your bus pass is valid for use on all registered Bus services within England, so if you are visiting other places you should be able to use your pass. It is not valid in Wales* or Scotland.

Airport Traveling Tips

BRS is busiest in the morning from 6:00 am to 7:00 am. Early evening hours may also experience sudden traffic surges.

The Boeing Dreamliner - the biggest passenger jet to use Bristol Airport - was due to be the flight from Bristol to Melbourne in Florida later this morning, but that flight is now delayed.

Reliable service but obviously could be prone to delay by any road accident etc, but then so would a car or taxi. Great service.

If you are planning a trip for a short distance, traveling by bus will almost always be a better option than flying. The ticket prices for buses are usually much cheaper than those of an airplane and you will be able to save time as well because there is no security line or stress of getting lost in the airport.

Cameras will read your vehicle registration on entry, with payment taken at exit by contactless, chip & pin or cash (change given). There will be no surcharge for using a credit card in this car park.

Review the airline's guidelines and check-in requirements – often, for domestic and short-haul flights you'll be expected to arrive at check-in two hours before, and at your gate an hour before departure. Arrival time can also be judged based on when you're flying.
