You can become a certified caregiver in North Carolina by taking a state-approved training course. You will then need to pass a state certification exam. There are various options for your training, including fast-track programs in various cities, as well as the Red Cross training program.To get free training, read the available options below:

The American Red Cross offers CNA training in North Carolina. There is a fee for this training program. However, individuals can sometimes receive grants from community programs and organizations to complete training through the Red Cross. If you receive a subsidy to cover the entire cost, you will receive free CNA training.

It is not uncommon to find some nursing assistant programs at technical schools and community colleges. You should contact the financial aid department of any school that offers nursing assistant training. It may be possible to apply for scholarships and even scholarships for some of these programs. This is even more likely if the program awards credit hours after course completion.

Talk to the administrators of the nursing assistant programs you want to attend. They can refer you to programs you can apply for to cover the cost of your training. Most states provide opportunities for unemployed or underemployed individuals to receive financial assistance with training programs.
